NSW Projects
Movers and Shakers has an extensive list of moves that highlight our experience and expertise across a range of different types of relocations and additional services. By utilising Movers and Shakers specially designed equipment, pooling resources from Movers and Shakers national network, and ensuring that service targets were met, these projects were completed as required, on time and on budget.
The following is just a snapshot of the types of work we have recently completed.
COMMONWEALTH BANK AUSTRALIA (Current 2008-2009)
Movers and Shakers is currently performing relocation works for the CBA from locations within the Sydney CBD, where approximately 8000 staff will move over a 12 month period to new locations through out Sydney metropolitan and central business districts, as well as out to Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. The relocations also consist of the disconnection and reconnection of sensitive IT equipment, file mapping and storage audits. The relocation process is expected to be completed mid 2010.
INSURANCE AUSTRALIA GROUP (September - October 2008)
Movers and Shakers managed this 800 person relocation over three stages, from four sites into a new 5 Star Green Rating building in Parramatta. One stage involved the movement of 650 people and their belongings, which were packed into Movers and Shakers Crates on Skates®, and were moved in a 24 hour time frame.
FEDERAL COURT OF AUSTRALIA (September 2008)
This was a relocation of approximately 50 staff, typical office furniture and files; and it also included the disconnect / reconnect of IT equipment. An office space of 1440 meters squared was moved into an area of 1110 meters squared.
ATO HURSTVILLE (July - September 2008)
Movers and Shakers were contracted to relocate, disconnect and reconnect approximately 650 staff members over 10 weeks of carpet refurbishment.
AUSTRALIAN HEALTH MANAGEMENT (June – July 08)
Movers and Shakers, along with the Australian Health’s project management team organised the relocation of some 350 staff’s furniture and effects from its Crown Street offices to its new Market Street offices in Sydney. This included the relocation of specialist gym equipment, and the disconnection and reconnection of sensitive IT equipment. Movers and Shakers where also engaged to pack and unpack some 800 lineal metres of filing whilst maintaining strict sequencing.
MOBI LIVING (May – November 2008)
Mobi Living in conjunction with the Australian Defence Forces and Watpac utilized the services of Movers and Shakers to deliver and install new furniture into some 500 defence apartments located at both the Holsworthy Army Barracks in NSW and the Enoggera Army Barracks in QLD. This required Movers and Shakers to distribute, place and assemble the contents of 22 x 40ft shipping containers of new furniture.
NSW ATTORNEY GENERAL DEPARTMENT (August 2007 – February 2008)
Movers and Shakers were engaged to relocate the NSW Attorney General Departments from 9 locations primarily positioned within the Sydney CBD into the new Parramatta Justice Precinct over 4 stages. Relocating some 1200 staff, this relocation utilized Movers and Shakers’ “Crates on Skates ®” moving system making the relocation process secure, quick and very much user friendly for both Movers and Shakers and the Department’s employees.
